A Bug Head Net gives you great protection against insects and related diseases naturally, without chemicals. Extra-fine mesh with 0.85 mm holes and 900 holes/in² provides greater protection from most biting insects – mosquitos, black flies, gnats, midges, and no-see-ums. That’s 25% smaller and 80% more holes than other big brand head nets to keep out even the smallest mossies. Enjoy your trip without having to constantly swat away pesky skeeters.

You’ll have great visibility through non-reflective black mesh with an optimized mesh hole pattern (see more clearly than through white, grey, or olive). You may even forget you have it on. Excellent airflow, so breathing is easy and no overheating. Polyester mesh is soft against your skin and won’t irritate your neck. And it’s not stiff, like many other head nets, so it drapes well on your shoulders. Extra-long for maintaining full coverage when worn over a wide-brim hat with no open gaps like too-short Sea to Summit. The bottom can be cinched with a cord lock and shock cord to keep insects from entering around your neck. 

While some head nets feel tight and constraining, this head net is bigger to fit over most wide-brim hats, unlike too-small Ben's. The roomy feel makes wearing it much more comfortable and enjoyable. While you can wear it without a hat, insects may bite through where the mesh touches your skin. It works best over your wide-brim hat to keep the mesh away from your skin. If you plan to sleep under the stars in buggy conditions, wearing a hat with a bill while you sleep will help keep the mesh off your face.

The Head Net is machine washable (140°F/60°C max), but we recommend using a washing bag, delicate setting, and air drying (no dryer). Of course, you can also hand wash.

A small nylon stuff sack is included for packing and storage.
