- Best balance of performance and cost
- Ultralight – just 0.6 oz (17 g)
- Secure back lock
The Ultralight LST is a classic that’s changed little over the last 35 years. Originally conceived by Peter Gerber, it’s a small knife with big history that’s a great balance of performance and cost. An EDC for many over the years, it’s a perfect choice for everyday tasks. And just 0.6 oz (17 g) makes it ideal for backpacking.
The blade is made from 420HC stainless steel (56-58 HRC) that’s corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It’s a drop-point, hollow ground blade with a plain edge grind.
Opening and closing action is smooth and secure, but does require two hands. And the blade lock on the back of the handle is depressed with your thumb to close.
The lightweight fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle has a front-half diamond pattern providing improved grip. It has a lanyard hole on the end of the handle, but no pocket clip.

light weight works great and sharp

Small, Sharp, and Handy
This the 3rd Gerber Ultralight LST I've owned. For me this knife has only one downside. It is easy for me to lose. It is a great little pocket knife with a solid lockbach mechanism. I will get another just like it if I lose this one. Handy, small, sharp, and light. A worthwhile tool to have in your pocket!

Love this little knife - strong for the weight
I replaced a heavy folding knife that was hard to open with this little dude - so glad I did! It's easy to open/close and is very sharp. Used it on five trips this summer & no signs of wear. Seems like it will last a long time.

Great
Very sharp and keeps it's sharpness. A very good metal alloy that can be sharpened with a good ceramic tool!
-
Tiny and sharp
I wanted a blade slightly larger than the swiss army. This is perfect, super lightweight and very sharp.

Great Little Knife
Great little knife. It's really small and compact and holds it's edge nicely. Locking mechanism works as it should so you can be confident it wont fold up on you while in use.

Great Little EDC Knife
Light weight, compact, and keeps a sharp edge. After a few passes over the sharpening stone the razor sharp edge quickly returns. Perfect fit for my lightweight backpacking ensemble.
