  • Build whoopie slings and ridgelines with ease
  • Insert, hook the taper, pull it back through
  • Rigid shaft
  • Pull loop

Our Splicing Hook makes building hammock whoopie slings and ridgelines much easier. Just insert the tool, hook the tapered end of the line, and pull it back through. A lever closes over the hook, capturing the taper, so it slides back through easily without catching. The rigid shaft makes doing burys much easier than using a wire. And the pull loop really helps in getting the hooked line back through without slipping or digging into your hand.

A Splicing Hook works with any hollow braid line up to 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) diameter. Use it for a locked Brummel, tail bury, long bury, or tail backsplice.

Have not used it yet, but it looks as if it will be useful when I use larger chord.

    Worked great

Made several continuous loops around knives so didn't have metal rings poking my pocket, and soft shackles (which I now find other uses for than hanging things in my tent, etc. e.g. holding things in my purse so lighter and less "jangly").
