The Vanguard Wallet lets you take a lightweight mindset to your everyday life. This billfold wallet is as slim as two credit cards and light as three pieces of printer paper. Unfolded US bills go in the cash pocket and there’s lots of room for cards with two ID window card slots and two hidden card slots. Fits seamlessly in your front pocket for EDC and travel. When the Minimalist is just too small, the Vanguard is the perfect choice.
Vanguard is offered in a choice of two different materials: recycled sailcloth or EcoPak™ recycled polyester.
The unique sailcloth used to make these wallets revolutionized the performance of racing boats like those in America’s Cup. With a higher tensile strength than steel, it’s remarkably durable due to an inner matrix of carbon fiber, Pentex, or polyester. These are some of the lightest, toughest, and most resilient fibers in the world due to a high strength to weight ratio and high modulus of elasticity.
The sailcloth material comes from scrap, blemished, or discontinued stock that would otherwise end up in a landfill. It’s repurposed to make cool 100% vegan wallets tough enough to earn a lifetime warranty. They are water resistant and so light, they float.
EcoPak is the world’s only lightweight, durable, waterproof fabric made from 100% recycled polyester fiber. Each yard upcycles about 20 plastic water bottles into durable technical textiles. This eco-friendly fabric, designed to stand up against abrasion and moisture, contains no toxic solvents or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), PFAS, or forever chemicals.
If you find most wallets cumbersome, check out the slim, simple Minimalist Card Holder Wallets. If you’re looking for a thinner, lighter, yet durable full-featured wallet, the Vanguard is just right for you.

Still Highly Recommended After FIVE YEARS
I'm retired, so I no longer need to carry a wallet everyday. But this fantastic wallet is showing almost no wear after five years. See my original review of August, 2019, that praised it after one year. If you're looking for a slim, lightweight wallet with very impressive durability, be sure to carefully consider this one. I don't think it can be beat.

Lightweight, compact and sturdy wallet for backpacking
I was able easily to get all my essentials (ID's, medical cards, credit card and cash) into this wallet. Because it is so lightweight and compact, it barely felt like it was there while backpacking. If it had RFID protection at this price point, I would have given it 5 Stars, though this is probably not a necessary feature while hiking and camping. I strongly recommend it!

Everything you hoped it would be!
Wallet disappears in your pocket. Very light weight and an excellent design. I have not owned it long enough to give it a wear rating. I would definitely buy again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a super light wallet.

Just what I was looking for.
Since my last “slim” wallet finished falling apart, I have been looking for a replacement. (The company that made my old wallet, no longer makes it anymore). I have tried several other online purchases only to be disappointed each time. I ordered the LiteSmith after finding it online and it is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thin, lite, well made and securely holds everything I usually carry. I typically carry ID, 7-9 credit/bank cards and a little cash, depending on how you set it up it could hold more cards if you needed. My only warning is it is very slick and thin, so if for any reason you might be hanging around upside down or you have pants that easily allow your wallet to slip out, be sure to keep it in your front pocket.

Still Perfect for my Needs After a Year of Use
I've been using this as my EDC wallet for a year now, and I love it. I carry from 9 to 12 cards of various thicknesses and 4-7 bills, so this is perfect for my needs. It's lightweight and barely makes a lump in my pocket. It seems like it will last for many years, too. My only suggestion for improvement: change the ID window slots so it's easier for someone to see the ID card without having to pull it out of the slot.
